MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition will host the 30th Annual Breakfast on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Hundreds of businesses, political and community leaders will gather at the organization’s largest annual fundraiser to kick off the holiday season with heartfelt giving in support of people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in the Granite State. Last year, the event drew more than 520 people and raised $250,000 to support the mission of preventing and breaking the cycle of homelessness.
The funds raised support Families in Transition emergency shelters for individuals and families, affordable and supportive housing to people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, food programs that provide hunger relief, and essential supportive services. Members of the community are encouraged to make a gift to support programs and services that aid people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in New Hampshire.
This event marks the 30th year of the annual breakfast, in honor of this milestone Families in Transition will host Mark Horvath, Founder and CEO of Invisible People, as the Keynote Speaker. Invisible People is a nonprofit dedicated to educating the public about homelessness through innovative storytelling, news, and advocacy. Its CEO and Founder, Mark Horvath, began this mission in 2008 while he was experiencing homelessness with only his camera, a social media account, and $45 to address the systemic issues contributing to the cycle of homelessness. Today, Invisible People has become a trusted resource of major brands and cities like Hanes, Ford, Pepsi, General Motors, Ritz Crackers, the City of Los Angeles, and the City of San Francisco to inspire action and advocacy.
“We deeply value the community partners who have leaned into these challenges facing so many people,” says Maria Devlin, President, and Chief Executive Officer for Families in Transition. “The need for our programs and essential services has never been greater, and this event plays a pivotal role in ensuring that we can continue to support the community we serve.”
The 30th Annual Breakfast will be presented by Cogswell Benevolent Trust and is also supported by contributions from key sponsors and partners, including our Keynote Sponsor, AutoFair, and Community Partner Sponsor Spectrum Marketing Companies.
