MANCHESTER, NH – The Moore Center will hold its signature Garden Party event on Thursday, June 15 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Brady Sullivan Tower, 1750 Elm Street. The annual event is one of the organization’s major fundraisers and honors a person or persons who have made a positive impact on the greater Manchester community. This year’s honoree is Tom Raffio, President & CEO of Northeast Delta Dental, who has been an engaged and philanthropic leader in New Hampshire for many years.

“Our annual Garden Party has become a community tradition as we come together to celebrate the essential and important work being done to create opportunities for a good life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Janet Bamberg, president and CEO of The Moore Center. “And we are excited and proud to honor Tom Raffio this year.  His contributions to our community have had a profound impact on so many, including the men and women we serve, and we look forward to honoring and celebrating him.”

Each year, a community member is selected as a Garden Party honoree, in recognition of their commitment to our community. Tom has made numerous contributions to our community, both personally and professionally. In addition to growing Northeast Delta Dental covered dental members from 301,000 in 1995 to over a million now, while earning its reputation as “Employer of Choice,” and “Best Companies to Work For,” Tom is an engaged civic leader and philanthropist, giving his time on numerous boards and committees. Tom also oversees the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation, created to improve the access to, and the quality of, oral health care and education for the public and the dental communities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Finally, he played an integral role in the passing of legislation providing dental benefits to adult NH Medicaid recipients after advocating for this right for over two decades. We are thrilled to honor Tom for all that he does for Greater Manchester and New Hampshire!

The Moore Center holds its annual Garden Party to raise funds and awareness for the organization’s mission to serve people with intellectual, developmental and personal challenges, and create opportunities for a good life.
