Nashua family center nets $5,000 grant

NASHUA, NH –The Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund has awarded a $5,000 grant to Harbor Care in support of Nashua’s Cynthia Day Family Center.

The Day Family Center is one of two clinically intensive behavioral-health treatment centers in the state designed to meet the specific needs of families in recovery. For information about the Family Center, visit this link.

“Thanks to the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund, we are able to provide for basic needs – food, clothing, shelter, transportation, and more – while addressing the intensive behavioral health needs of both mothers and their children,” said Henry J. Och, president and CEO of Harbor Care.

The Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund works to assist nonprofit organizations in New Hampshire and has donated more than $7 million since its establishment in 1985.

“We are pleased to contribute to the critically important impact Harbor Care has on the lives of women and children in the Nashua area,” said Anu Mullikin, chair of the fund.
