The Granite YMCA Welcomes Lorrie Piper as VP of marketing and communications

MANCHESTER, NH –  The Granite YMCA has hired Lorrie Piper as its new Vice President of Marketing & Communications.

“Lorrie comes to us with over 30 years of experience in leading high-performing marketing teams and she is well-suited to hit the ground running. From her experience with the local non-profit FIRST, to her award-winning leadership as a Division Director for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, we are extremely confident in her capabilities as she supports The Granite YMCA in advancing our mission for the communities we serve. Lorrie has immense talent and experience, and we are thrilled to have her join as our newest member of the leadership team,” said Michele Sheppard, CEO, The Granite YMCA.

Lorrie Piper served a 4-year term as Division Director/CMO for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission where she helped to generate nearly $800 million in sales while leading industry-recognized campaigns and sales initiatives. Prior to that, she served as Digital Marketing Manager at FIRST where she provided marketing management and spearheaded numerous successful digital marketing strategies. Before joining the team at FIRST, she served as Marketing Communications Manager for Osram Sylvania after receiving her Master of Science Degree from Rivier University.

As the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for The Granite YMCA, Piper will implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support the mission of The Granite YMCA and its branches. She will work closely with media outlets and serve as the leader for brand awareness while also supporting YMCA membership goals. She leads a team of marketing and communications professionals and will serve as their mentor while they, together, support the mission of the Granite YMCA.
