Grant will allow North Conway assistance dog organization to expand

Assistance Canine Training Services will be able to train more service dogs, as well as launch a compassionate therapy dog program, with help from a $10,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Daisy Hale Fund.

NH Council on Developmental Disabilities announces $83.5K in available grant funding for health workers

The New Hampshire Council on Developmental Disabilities is soliciting requests for proposals. The Council has set aside a total of $83,569.00 of federal funds for fiscal support for entities to recruit, hire, and train public health workers to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for future public health challenges (this may include temporary staffing and/or independent contractors).

2021 annual homelessness report: Unsheltered population has doubled since 2020

With the housing vacancy rate remaining at less than 2 percent over the past three years, many people experiencing homelessness in 2021 “stayed in places not meant for human habitation as their only solution to survival,” according to the report.

Transit To Trails program launch May 7: Catch an MTA bus for $5 and hit local hiking trails, parks
