Elaine Hamel: Dismantling gender norms to uplift ‘Girls at Work’

Girls at Work focuses much attention on giving young girls experience that will boost their confidence so they can perform at their best, academically and in their own lives, from an empowered place. Founder Elaine Hamel stressed the importance of teaching girls early on what they are capable of and what connecting them to this mindset can do to change their lives for the better. 

Manchester’s Girls at Work receives $10K STEM grant

Manchester-based nonprofit Girls at Work received a $10,000 grant from the Bosch Community Fund that will go towards increasing STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) exposure to local at-risk girls along with developing a curriculum that can be replicated for future lessons and workshops.

Mel Gosselin brings 25 years of dynamic leadership in the for-profit and non-profit worlds, including 13 years as Executive Director of the New Hampshire Food Bank, which, under Gosselin’s tenure, grew to become the state’s largest non-profit food distribution center.
