Greater Manchester Chamber welcomes Oracle Dyn as ‘Chamber Partner’

The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) announces Oracle Dyn, one of New Hampshire’s leading technology employers and a pioneer in building Manchester’s Millyard as a nationally recognized high-tech ecosystem, as its newest “Chamber Partner.”

Avella hired as new GMCC Director of Membership

Heather Avella has spent the last six years gaining leadership, business development and project management experience through contract and volunteer work. Most recently, she held the role of President of the Board of Directors for the Manchester Food Co-Op, having helped grow the organization from inception to nearly 1,500 member-owners. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.

Chamber of Commerce Names Dianne Mercier Citizen of the Year

“Dianne epitomizes the characteristics of the Citizen of the Year award through her incredible achievements as a business leader and her amazing commitment to community service,” said Michael Skelton, GMCC President and CEO. “Dianne has had a positive impact on every nonprofit Board of Directors she has served on, which is a testament to both her leadership skills and generosity. The Chamber is honored and thrilled to select Dianne as the next Citizen of the Year.”

2015 Citizen of the Year: Andy Crews, for his community commitment

Andy’s most recent endeavor may be his most inspirational, helping to lead the development of Manchester’s first home for integrated drug treatment and recovery. “The [recovery] center will be a game changer and it will be the difference that our community desperately needs and would not have been possible without the leadership and dedication of Andy Crews,” said Mayor Ted Gatsas.

Tickets available for annual Chamber Citizen of the Year dinner

The GMCC will announce the 2015 Citizen of the Year honoree prior to the Annual Dinner. This year’s dinner will be held on April 14, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel, Manchester. Since 1954, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has presented one outstanding individual with the Citizen of the Year award. This outstanding group of individuals has been paramount in shaping the local community through the history of Manchester and the region. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual with outstanding leadership and citizenship in the community, while demonstrating exemplary vision, civic pride and commitment to the betterment of society.
